They were discontinuing the 60 GB model, and were going to price drop it when the 80 GB model was introduced. Jumped at a 60 GB for $500. I figured that I spent $400 on an XBox360 ($550 after wifi adapter and XBox Live Gold), why not spend $500 on a PS3 and a PS2 combined in one system with free online? I had been contemplating getting a PS2 anyways.

Excellent game franchises ive enjoyed since I got PS1 and PS2 eg FF, MGS, Tekken, GTA, GT,Ratchet and Clank, DMC , KH, SOCOM, Jak and Daxter, as well as games like ICO, Shadow of The Collosus, Broken Sword ( Please do PS3 version) DQ, Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the list goes on

I was waiting for Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, but then they cut the 60 gig, so I waited till the Best Buy next to my house got down to 2 in stock and I went and picked my 60 gig up. I wasnt going to get anything but the Ps3 with a PS2 built inside.

Outside of that, However much everyone wants to say or think Sony isnt going to get any good games we know its not true in our hearts, and I live games, how can one be a true gamer and not own all three systems and a gaming ready PC? :)

But really it was just the fact that just like last gen, Sony will have its own AAA amazing games, and I didnt want to miss out.

microsoft sucks overprices everything just to shit on the consumer.
havnt played anything on a nintendo console since i was little,
and everyone tells me they get bored of their wii fast.

plus sony's first party exclusives abuse other games. oh and their console last a long time i never have to worry about switching untill 6 years after i buy them. pretty much it
