Please drew, do some research before posting stuff like this. Please show me how Sony can make 2+ billion dollars on blu-ray licensing. I'm not being sarcastic, as I'd love to see it. People throw around crazy numbers for this, and from all the admittedly inexact math I've done, it doesn't even come close.
Microsoft can lose money on the 360 and make it up elsewhere, as well. They own the rights to the primary operating system used by personal computers in pretty much every region in the world -- do you honestly think they don't have plans? They talk about the exact same types of plans that Sony does; use their console as a Trojan to inject Microsoft-branded hardware and media utilities into people's living rooms. It's the exact same thing, except Microsoft has a lot more money to burn on the endeavor.
