Forums - Sales - Okami Wii - Forgotten in Europe?

considering how people loved Zelda TP there's gonna be a lot of people missing out. I'm currently 25 hours through Okami and totally loving every minute of it.

Such a shame

Many people keep on crying about this game.

It deserves the sales that it got.
Good game. Absolutely.

Check out the attitude of Capcom at the time this was released(their reaction to the growing hate due to ports, their own expectations of the game, etc.) and you will see why I have no pity for them.

At least they finally stopped using their "We're the best third party dev on the Wii.Look at the other third parties." card to justify their lackluster support.

Okami could definitely do with some marketing love. No one knows *anything* about it, its a new IP, a lot of people who like it have already played it (PS2) and the game cover/box wouldn't make a lot of sense to non-gamers.

All it needs is a few TV ads with some of those lovely flower cutscenes - and I'm sure sales could explode.

I remember seeing on Amazon.co.uk on SSBB first day launch that 4.8% of people who purchased SSBB also bought Okami and even that amazed me.

They should have definitely advertised it and it could have been big but who knows what goes through these publishers minds.

it might be too low to track, which is a shame

tag:"reviews only matter for the real hardcore gamer"

Also, "Okami Wii; Forgotten in My House". The worst thing Capcom did was launch this game a week before GTA IV and Mario Kart Wii. I haven't touched this awesome game in months. A shame, really. This game should've come out a month earlier. It would have made a bigger splash.

too low to tracked? noooo, this game deserves more...

Yes, tere was no advertising, but you find it in every store (at least here in Manchester) and you even have the "special version" from HMV, which I own and recomend (it's beautiful).

Nevertheless, I've seen weekly sales of around 500 copies tracked so... I shouldn't believe on those or what? Because Okami as certainly sold more than it.
