Eh. I think with the amount of cash that F1 made, Fable 2 can deliver...Hopefully.

The new screenshots from Fable 2 look incredible. Hopefully it winds up being the game Fable 1 was supposed to be...If it can do that, it'll certainly be a 90%+ game.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I was really disappointed with the first one.  I think I was just overhyped for it, I guess.  Just didn't seem to have nearly as much to do and as much choices as I thought it was going to, and the combat was pretty weak.  For that reason, I've pretty much been ignoring this one, but if it gets great reviews I'll probably give it a shot.

Owner of PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Switch, PS Vita, and 3DS

People expected too much of Fable that's why they think it sucks. I didn't put any attention to the game until recently. I never heard of it so when I played it I found it quite fun!

Fable 2 is a must buy for me and my bf.. Looks well done and very fun... Also, we'll be playing together! ^^

For those who have been asking, Fable 2 is set a few hundred years after the events of Fable 1 so you don't need to have played the first to enjoy the second. There may be a few pieces of background information whos context is lost on you, but it won't have any effect on your ability to enjoy the game.

I also was one who had heard nothing about Fable 1 before playing it, and it wound up being one of my favorite original xbox games. Fable 2 is a definite first day purchase for me.

The graphics and lighting are already superb, but then I read on that all the foliage in the game actually grows and gets bigger as you play. From grass and flowers to huge trees. The weather system sounds really intricate. For instance it's not just a case of new day starts and it rains that day and so on. It has weather systems. You can actually see clouds gathering together as you play until a few hours later and it thunderstorms. Proper seasons means months of snow in certain places in the game.

On top of that on their playthrough there is not just an odd deer or rabbit here and there, there is over 40 different species roaming around. Squirrels, fox's all sorts of creatures. Also what I didnt know was that any house or dungeon, keep anything is available to buy(for the right price) as to house your family. Choices actually feel like they affect gameplay(not the usual 1 of 3 choices drivel we have seen in the past). But layers of choices upon choices. Cities entirely burnt down and not there for the rest of the game or completely flourishing as a result of your actions.

Those are awesome elements, but now it's starting to sound too good again for a Peter Molyneux game....

Another wonderful and ambitious game in theory that fails to deliver in practice?

Amen to that :)

Hope they deliver this time 'round...

Maybe it's just me but......

With Fable 1, everything was hyped from day one. Day after day, after day, Peter and Co. promised a million things. For Fable 2, maybe it's just me, but they've toned down what they've promised, and it looks like what they're arguing the game will have, seems to be less flash and more dash, which is always a very very good thing.

Again, I'm not a Fable 2 PR man. I wasted $50 on Day-1 for Fable, which was very underwhelming (beat in in under 20hrs). But I'm beginning to be excited for this project.

^^With what?? Black and White was fucking awesome and Fable was pretty good. Was it Dungeon Keeper, Populous, The Movies, Theme Park? I really enjoyed Populous and Dungeon Keeper but I only played the demo to the Movies(it was decent) and I never played Theme Park.

He does this every time. Talks a big game, and then when his game is released, it is far less then he said it would be.

I liked Fable, but it was nothing compared to what he said it will be. I expect the same from Fable 2. A good game, but one that will fall way short of his claims.

Folks can say what they want, but I didn't hear about Fable until it was out. And I loved it. I loved it so much, I bought the Lost Chapters. And finished that too.

My heavens - for the folks that are upset and disappointed - hell, your bar must be set really, really high. Please, save your money and buy it when it hits the bargain bins. I'm getting it Day 1. I loved the original, remake and can't wait for this.

So what if Pete doesn't deliver the Lassie-like mut. So what if you can't kill kids, shoot lightning at chickens and livestock. You want all those features? Pick up Overlord and have a blast. I will be enjoying this game and will likely take off work to play it.
