Forums - Nintendo - What are your thoughts on The legend of Zelda: Valley of the Deluge?

I read it.

It's really good for a fake. I would buy it if it were real.

I love the idea of a steampunk zelda, but I don't like how this "fake" interview is putting it.

It sounds interesting. I just don't like the whole "he thinks he's Link but he's not" thing.

I like the concept outside of that, but I don't think it'd be right for a Zelda game. If they made a new IP in a similar world with Zelda-ish gameplay, I'd be all about it.

Here's what I think of this:

- A character that thinks he's Link... That would probably work for another game but for Zelda that just sounds horrible... Plus if he thinks he's Link but he's not, how does he fight monsters? I don't think anyone but Link could go through dongeons and beat huge ennemies.

- I don't think Zelda should go steam punk... EVER. That's going FF7... And not that FF7 is a bad game but Zelda is a magical fantasy world... There's enough "reality" in other games and it would be quite unoriginal.

haha i would so buy this

i imagine it like No More Heroes meets Zelda

imagine that!!

The supposed interview sounds horribly fake, and that's without me trying to finish. I'd point out every instance where I thought "god, this has to be fake" but that'd take too much time.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

I actually like the concept. It takes Zelda in a darker direction, which I would appreciate. It's a bit like Majora's Mask in that sense.

Totally fake though.

If No More Heroes was actually a good game, I might try and imagine that. >_>

Wouldn't that be more cyber punk than steam punk?

I haven't played FFVII, so I don't really know, tbh.

Um steampunk is more like FFVI. It's similar to the 1800s where you have steam engines for  trains, and guns.  FFVII is more of our time or even more in the future from us.
