by both, its the only way
Right now SFIV only. Soul Calibur seems to have jumped the shark so I'm going to wait until hear a lot of gameplay impressions before think about touching SCIV. That said, SFIV is annoying me as well. 19 characters so for, only two of which are female, and one of the new characters looks like a beach ball with limbs.

If Kratos appears in SCIV then I will definately be buying it. I'm not a big fan of how SFIV has chosen to take the 3D route but if it turns out good then i might pick it up. Tekken is a definate as well.

The Soul Edge/Soul Blade/Soul Calibur line has been the premier fighting game since its inception, in my opinion. Every other fighter pales in comparison to the depth and animation quality of the Soul Calibur series.
You can probably guess which one I prefer at this point. Honestly every other fighter in existance seems shallow to me, by comparison, and I've played 'em all thoroughly. I haven't played a Street Fighter game in forever, though... who knows... maybe SF4 will be amazing.

WINNER! I'll be getting that too its gonna be SWEET!

Lol, better single player in fighting games...not really a selling point but you are right about other points. I think Street fighter 4 will be better as far as gameplay and replay value are concerned and that matters the most. All this other stuff, collectables, weapons, modes...Namco has to throw this in to hide the fact SC1 = SC2 = SC3 and will probably = SC4 in the gameplay department. |
No SC3 was far worse than SC1 and 2. The game balance was awful.

if soul calibur4 is like the last ones i will get it,im not so sure aboutstreet fighter 4
Only played SC2 and I dont intend to play another, but SF has always been amazing, just really want it to come to the Wii now.
Soul Calibur has traditionally been my favorite fighter series since the Dreamcast release... but the third game was disappointing, and the whole Star Wars business pisses me off further.
Street Fighter III (and its various re-iterations) was/is a gorgeously presented, highly enjoyable 2D fighter, but the art direction in IV seems weird and unpleasant.
It appears that the HD Remix of SFII may be my only remaining option...
EDIT: Unless BlazBlue sees a North American release. NOW we're talking...
