Forums - Microsoft - First 4 minutes of Infinite Undiscovery!

You know, now that I think about it I may understand why they choose Sept. 11th as the US release date.

It seems like an Infinite Undiscovery with us trying to find that cave dwelling guy who attacked us.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

yeah I quit in the middle of the .hack games, battle system just got on my nerves I guess. I really did enjoy the concept of the games though.

You have an impressive number of RPG's played Stats,
might be more than my own, I'll have to make a list and see.

What can I say, I'm a sucker for spiky hair, teenage angst and cataclysmic storytelling.

Yeah, sometimes I cannot believe how many of them I've beaten, even games I only found to be ok. I guess I always wanted to see how they ended and forced myself to beat them.

My Top 10 of all time would be (not including SNES)

  1. Final Fantasy X
  2. Xenogears
  3. Kingdom Hearts II
  4. Suikoden II
  5. Final Fantasy 8
  6. Kingdom Hearts
  7. Final Fantasy VII
  8. Star Ocean:Second Story
  9. Suikoden III
  10. Tales of Symphonia

Honorable Mention, Suikoden I and V, Chrono Cross, Dark Cloud II, DQVIII and Rogue Galaxy

But yeah, I love my RPG's. The worst RPG i ever beat was probably Legaia 2:Duel Saga, but that had a really fun battle system.

Did you play Chrono Trigger? If yes, what did you think of it?

Of course! Remember, i wrote that the list doesn't include SNES Games.

I thought it was an excellent game, but my favorite RPG on the SNES was FFIV.... Edge rockz my sockz. If I did a list of SNES RPG's

  1. Final Fantasy IV
  2. Final Fantasy VI
  3. Chrono Trigger
  4. Seiken Densetsu 3
  5. Tales of Phantasia
  6. Super Mario RPG
  7. Final Fantasy V
  8. Mystic Quest
  9. Terranigma (Soul Blazer 3)
  10. Secret of Mana (Seiken Densetsu 2)

Honorable Mention: Treasure of the Rudras, Lufia 1 and 2 and Star Ocean

I have the ROMS for it, but I still haven't played Illusion of Gaia/Time (Soul Blazer 2), Secret of Evermore and Earthbound

Oh, that's a great list. Although in all honesty (shh quiet now, otherwise Soriku will kill me) Kingdom Hearts is not that good. X is indeed the best FF, too bad not so many share that opinion. I can't wait for a new Suikoden and for Symphonia 2.
Furthermore my list would contain Skies of Arcadia.
If SNES and S-RPG's were included (well Suikoden is a kind of SRPG) than Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Fire Emblem would be included.

Oh and please tell me how you caused the GAF crash of 2005, I'm curious.

Kingdom Hearts I and II were great games.  FFX is the best FF I played by that is only because I never played IV,VI, or VII which people consider the best in the series

Without a doubt it is just coincidence, but I couldn't help but find humor in it. :)

That is indeed a great list. While mine would be somewhat similar, I'd have to include some SRPG's

  1. FFX
  2. FF VIII
  3. Disgaea: Hour of Darkness
  4. Suikoden II
  5. Dark Cloud 2
  6. Dragon Quest VIII
  7. Final Fantasy VII
  8. Xenogears
  9. Final Fantasy Tactics
  10. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

Nice to see that someone else thinks FFIV is the greatest SNES game. Cannot wait for the DS remake!

If I were to include all the systems? Oh boy, this will be hard, I'll make it Top 25 and combine the two

  1. Final Fantasy X
  2. Xenogears
  3. Final Fantasy IV
  4. Final Fantasy VI
  5. Kingdom Hearts II
  6. Chrono Trigger
  7. Suikoden II
  8. Final Fantasy VIII
  9. Kingdom Hearts
  10. Final Fantasy VII
  11. Seiken Densetsu III
  12. Star Ocean: Second Story
  13. Suikoden 3
  14. Tales of Phantasia
  15. Tales of Symphonia
  16. Super Mario RPG
  17. Final Fantasy V
  18. Rogue Galaxy
  19. Suikoden V
  20. Suikoden 1
  21. Dark Cloud II
  22. Terranigma
  23. Chrono Cross
  24. Final Fantasy XII ( I forgot to add this to my Honorable Mention list before)
  25. Mystic Quest

Just Missed the Cut: DQVIII, Secret of Mana (SD2)

I kind of hate making lists like this, it's so hard to rank the games I love and have to leave some of them off the list. Because games like Star Ocean:Till the End of Time, Shadow Hearts:Covenant, Final Fantasy IX etc. get left off the list even though I really like them.
