I guess I can see what you mean about Zelda after looking at the game and trying to ignore the style and game models and just look at the gameplay, but damn that's a weird comparison to make in my eyes. I just saw the style and likened it more to a GoW with more freedom.
...
Wow, very impressive concept. I wouldn't equated it to Zelda but definitely a GoW meets GOW when doing range combat.
Doesn't look at all like Zelda. What defines Zelda is puzzles, which this clearly doesn't have. I would say it's a lot more like God of War with open areas, which is also very cool looking.

The video in this thread doesn't show it (well it does for a second or two but it's not really talked about) but the game does indeed have puzzles. I read a preview of the game in a videogame magazine in which they said they took inspiration from Zelda (among other games). Also there's a video from THQ's Gamer's Day with one of the developers who mentions the puzzles in the game.
Zelda has dungeons and RPG elements, I'd doubt this is similar to zelda in that sense. It has an open world, true, but so does GTA4.
Anyways this could be good. But it doesn't interest me at all, guns + sword combat = not cool IMO.
