I think MK will stay ahead permanently from now on. It's going to an interesting battle between MK and Wii Fit for best selling game of the year on a single platform. I'm thinking Wii Fit will pull ahead during the holidays, but MK could sell more during the summer/fall.

But SSBB deserved it more if you ask me.

I would have agreed with you before I played a lot of Mario Kart. SSB is only the second best game of the year so far (all platforms). Mario Kart is the best this year so far.

Mario Kart is also the best online game (all platforms) released this year.  GTA 4 didn't even come close, although CoD 4 PC is very good.

Shitty casual game outsells high quality great game that will be remembers for years to come. Not suprising considering what nintendo has done to gaming.

I really don't think that it will stay ahead permanently. SSBB should have decent legs in others, and should be able to get past MK at some point.

But SSBB could overtake MKWii again due to European launch. Im guessing it will stay like this for probably weeks if not months. But in the long run MKWii will keep above SSBB in sales

Which game is which - MK is leaps ahead of Brawl IMO. And WiiFit can't be compared to either.

I see a real battle between MK & Brawl, but expect to see MK win out in the end.

If Ninty have too many more weeks of WiiFit selling 250k worldwide - any "contest" will be over pretty quickly.

I dunno, MK recently came into stock at UK retailers so it could be in for a good week. It might give SSBB a run for the money in Europe and is well ahead in the rest of the world.
