The original xbox: I bought it because of Ninja Gaiden and Sigma ended up on the ps3 (a system I was going to buy anyway) now my xbox and my cousin's just sit in my basement---useless!

I caved in to the idea that NG would never come to the playstation so I bought the xbox about 8 months before the 360 released and M$ just dropped it like a bad habit!

just base on console itself... xbox360. Never have I seen a console, or electronics for that matter, break that easily.

Yes it has great games, but failure rate is just unacceptable.

hmmm... probably the GameCube. It literally has all of two games I would ever even consider buying.

Genesis. Sonic never could hold his own against Mario, and now look where he's at. Yup, at the bottom of the bargain bin.

Among the systems that I own, the original Odyssey since my unit does not work properly.

I also have never grasped what was so special about the Atari 5200 (non-standard RF, non-centering joysticks, and games that were available for Atari 8-bit computers).

The RCA Studio II was disappointing because it was clearly inferior technology. The same can be said, to a lesser extent, about the Emerson Arcadia 2001, though in that case it was more of potential not being fully realized/utilized.

Among my computers, the Mattel Aquarius deserves a "why did they bother" query.

Of consoles that I don't own, I never grasped the Neo Geo. A $700 price point with $200 games. Basically, it was an arcade machine without the cabinet. If you did not like those games, you didn't want one. And there were much much less expensive substitute items. (One could argue the 3DO was similar but it was trying to be innovative with video playback, etc. -- basically it was a bleeding edge failure rather than a niche marketing idea).

I hate the PS3 (sony) the most. They think since they are Sony they should be on top of the video game industry like everything else they do. They are all stuck up assholes and they were all gloating that they will make the best console in the world. This thing will last you 10 years without you needing a new console. It will have the best graphics and be more fun. Now look at them dead last in sales and my wish came true. Nintendo is back were they belong.

whoa now. Let's keep this at least marginally civil please. I understand you don't like them (and if you;re a Ninty fan and you are, I can;t really blame you), but you don;t need to call them "stuck up assholes"
