Forums - Nintendo - Wii Wheel and Excite Truck

A little late to the game I know, but I just got a Wii Wheel(MKwii coming later).  I have been trying it out on Excite truck and am getting postive results.  I "S"ed one of the tracks in Super Excite mode that has been giving me issue.

I have found online reviews saying it does not work.

I am playing the game wrong(and conseqeuntly right)?

It works that way, but it's not as responsive as tilting it.

if its really good with it,then i might get the game

Things might change when I get MKwii, if they handle differently it might be hard to switch back and forth........ anyone got input on that?

All the wheel is is a grip, people. It's just like holding a PS3 controller for motion controls.

It's a $10 grip. You can technically play the same way without the wheel, but it's just easier to hold.

I guess it should work for many racing games...

There's nothing to "work." It's extra plastic to hold. Ugh.

Do you realize you're contradicting yourself?

No. I said it's a plastic grip. The only consideration is whether that is more comfortable to hold. It doesn't change the functionality of the Wiimote. You go from a remote to a PS3 controller grip.

It works great. When I had my "mega-excite" session a couple weeks back, we tried the wheel - and never went back. It worked a lot better than not using it. Nicer to hold, and easier to turn (more accurately).
