Portal should be number one. Yeah, I know, not really a shooter. I think, however, that that argument is facile. That goes for Metroid Prime as well. As Garcian Smith said, it's first person, you shoot--it's a first person shooter. Screw the semantics.

Half-Life should be Half-Life 2.

Doom should be Doom 2, and should probably be lower on the list.

Halo, Wolf3D, and all of the rail shooters shouldn't be on the list.

Call of Duty should be CoD4.

Replace Counter-Strike with Unreal Tournament.

Metroid Prime, Bioshock, and Chronicles of Riddick should be higher on the list.

In short, list sucks.

 

EDIT: Metroid Prime is a first-person game. And it involves shooting. Why is Metroid Prime not a first-person shooter?

Half-life is superior to HL2

Halo, Wolfenstien and the rail shooters are fine

COD4 is over-rated and 1 is more deserving of the spot

CS is superior to Unreal in every way

Metroid Prime IS an FPS. Stop acting like it isn't. Denial is simply childish.

As for the list, well it seems, disturbing to say the least. No HL2 or Perfect Dark, and the original Call of Duty is that high. I mean I definetly wouldn't have done it that way, but guess that's why it was one site's opinion.

Anyways, the Halo series and Goldeneye should not be that high.  Also since it doesn't look like they included System Shock with Bioshock, it shouldn't be that high either.  Oh, and the Tribes series doesn't even get a mention?

I think the series games half life cod halo doom get the nod for series. not individual games, if the bond series had more then one good game it would be higher!

I felt a few games shouldnt be there but its a fun list if your a gamer and like to kill crap!

Lolz that is why metroid prime is the 5th highest rated game of all time right? That is counting both versions of GtaIV and Half Life 2 as one. Metroid is my  best seris ever.

 

@Jalson How could you argue with the people who own the game, and call it a first person adventure.
