Forums - PC - What is the best laptop brand?

If you do decide to go with a Dell check out http://www.dell.com/outlet for refurbished laptops. My office has bought a few desktops and a couple servers from the same outlet and we have had zero problems. Plus you can find some good deals.

If you want to play games on it and can get a copy of Windows XP or Vista then get a MacBook but if you can't get a FREE copy of Windows from somewhere or someone then get a SonyVaio or a Dell, just check the specs before you buy though to make sure its what you want/need.

End of 2014 Hardware Predictions (03/03/14)

PlayStation 4: 12-15million

Xbox One: 7-10 million

Wii U: 8-9 million (Changed 01/04/2014 from 7-9 --> 8-9 million)

Actually, I would agree with Dell ... then I bought a Macbook Pro and it completely changed my mind.  If you have a decent budget and are looking for the best designed laptop ... take a look at the Macbook Pro.  If you are budget conscious, then maybe just one of the normal Macbooks.  Elegant design along with top class engineering makes their hardware the best.

The Macbook pro and Sony vaio are really sexy tough, but a bit pricy.

Well, for what you get, the MBP is actually cheaper then a Dell. The problem with them is you have to buy a high end laptop, as Apple does not sell a low end option.

If someone came here and said they wanted a laptop to do email and browse the web, there are a lot better solutions for them then a MBP, as a $400 laptop will meet there needs. You seem to be in the market for a high end laptop anyway, so if all the features of the MBP is what you are after, it's a good deal.

Do VooDoo do laptops? If they do, then them.

For anything other than gaming a Macbook (pro?)is definitely one of the best imo the best laptops on the market.

How heavy are you looking to game on a laptop?

If your not looking into very heavy gaming, just something moderate and are looking for a great price and very good customer service, go HP.

Personally you really don't need anything more than a GeForce 8400M GS. You can grab one of these notebooks for around $850 (US). No idea what that is in euros though. I grabbed mine late last year when Christmas sales were going on and snagged one for me and my girlfriend, $649 each. :)

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Macbook Pro.. then use bootcamp to install windows & use that only for the games.. for the rest use OSX..
