I have to put in a recommendation for Kirby's Adventure -- a late NES release a lot of gamers missed out on because we'd already moved on to the 16-bit systems. It's not a long or difficult game (3-4 hours) but it's consistently fresh and inventive, one of the best NES platformers ever released.

Military Madness from the Turbografx-16 lineup is good fun also, very accessible and entertaining hex-based strategy game.

F-Zero X was added to our Virtual Console library this morning.

How long ago was it added to your libraries?

For beat em ups fans Streets of Rage 2 is one of the greatest games ever.

It wasn't it came here first - special 100th game treat!  

Here's what I have so far. I'll put the reason I got it.

NES
Super Mario Bros. - One of the greatest games ever
Kirby's Adventure - Never got to play it, pretty fun
The Legend of Kage - Nostalgia. It's repetitive, but we go for high scores
Tecmo Bowl - Pretty fun bare bones football game.
Excitebike - Fun side-scrolling racer with track editor
Punch-Out!!! - Great boxing game, too bad Tyson is not in it
Ninja Gaiden - I like it, I'm sure it will piss most people off due to it's diffculty

SNES
Super Castlevania IV - I never got to play it. Fun....hard
R-Type III - I love shooters
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Best Zelda ever!!!

Genesis
Gunstar Heroes - Sort of like Contra
Streets of Rage - Fun side scrolling figher with 2 players
Streets of Rage 2 - Better than the first one

Dungeon Explorer - I was curious. Don't get this.
Soldier Blade - Another shooter
Ninja Spirit - Like Ninja Gaiden with better graphics and not hard at all
BomberMan - Fun Multiplayer

1. Lylat Wars (the best of the Starfox series, still stands the test of time)

My best downloads thus far have been Starfox 64, Bomberman '93, Super Mario Bros. 3, Kirby's Adventure, and Beyond Oasis/Story of Thor.
