The new boxart shows Maraca's are included! And they are multi colored, not white! I just hope they have beads in them!

Note, Amazon is using older boxart, so the Maraca's don't show (yet!). The Pay to Play logo seems to be gone now as well.

It was already a purchase for me after the recent IGN podcast and the hands on reviews, but it's day 1 now!

It's on IGN now.......... it's not officially confirmed, but why would HMV show boxart with Maraca's and mention them in the product description if it wasn't so? I'll keep my fingers crossed.

June 27, 2008 - Samba de Amigo fans were disappointed to learn that the new Wii game would not include a maraca peripheral. The plastic shakers were part of the original Dreamcast game's charm. Take heart -- it looks like SEGA is planning to pack in the peripherals, after all.

If UK retail site hmv is to be believed, two maracas that fit over the tops of your remotes will be included in the box. Hopefully these will also contain the pellets that create the maracas' shaking sound.

Of course, the image is labeled "not final packaging," so we'll have to wait for official confirmation from SEGA before popping open the champagne.

Thus removing the last reason to prefer the Dreamcast version. The only reason I could see up until now for people to still prefer the DC version was an actual rattling maraca in their hands. Now the Wii version is the definitive version. Actual maracas. No sensor mat to stand on. 3 to 4 times the number of songs supposedly. Sign me up.

This game has potential to be huge, they actually did it right on every level!

C'mon SEGA, confirm "VAMOS A CARNAVAL" already! And not as DLC, but included in the actual game...... with no Pay 4 Play.
