Let me quote the GEM from that review: "Edge also encourages hardcore gamers to fully support Microsoft, because without them, hardcore gaming could be a thing of the past."
That change your mind?
Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

IGN is the site I visit most often that is focused on reviews, so I'd have to say that one.
...
Zero Punctuation because he doesn't take any bullshit, and because he doesn't use numbers.
Penny Arcade because they control their own advertising and only advertise games they personally enjoy and support, and because they don't use numbers.
Also, both of these reviewers make games as well, so they know what's up on the other side.
Soriku, you trust Famitsu? They admitted they inflate scores so they don't bruise the egos of fanboys. I mean, it's slightly noble of them to admit that they're full of shit, but they're still full of shit.

They gave NG2 an 8, which is probably around what it deserves. I'm more concerned about IGN giving a 10 to MGS4 and saying it has more replayability than, let's say, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
Who cares who they give advertisement to, as long as it doesn't affect their perceptions of the games it's fine by me.
And it's obvious that, even though I don't like Microsoft much, without them we'd lose both Xbox 360 and almost the entire PC gaming (and both are platforms who have big hardcore communities and niches).
I tend to agree with and respect the opinions of the IGN editors the most.
My Games of 2011:
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Super Mario 3D Land
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
My favourites are GameTrailers, IGN, G4TV (for the laughs), Eurogamer, GameSpy, GamesTM (UK multiplatform mag). The list included Gamespot until everyone left.
Update: How could I forget Zero Punctuation!?
