All hail Europe!

''Hadouken!''

500k total for SSBB I think.

but it will have long legs...

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Interesting UK chart, with a lot of new releases :
- 'Wii Fit' back to the 3rd place : the result of a renewal of stocks ? Pretty much confirms that this title will have legs.

- 'Top Spin 3' on Wii appears one week late in the chart, in place 22. That's unexpected and somewhat weird.

- A pretty good start for 'Battlefield : Bad Company'. I don't know what that game exactly is, but I can suppose that it's a FPS ? (Sounds like it at least)

- Not a bad start for Sega's 'Beijing 2008'. I mean for a Track and Field, that's good. And we will have to wait for the Olympics to begin to see this game's potential.

- Is 'Guitar Hero: Aerosmith' a new release ? In that case, not a good start at all. It will all depend on legs.

- The same for 'The Bourne Conspiracy'.

- 'Civilization' has left the top 40...

(*Now back to real life work...*)

Brawl beaten by lego indiana jones.

For big beach sports in UK, i saw the thing coming because the game was great at amazon.co.uk. But yes, it's not the game i thought at first view.

If you go around the game shops in the UK, alot of customers (especially moms) are querying about Wii Fit only to be told its out of stock. It will definitely have big legs (at least in the UK Im sure). Many store employees are also wearing Wii Fit shirts.

Who would have predicted Big Beach Sports coming out at #4? Wii Fit coming back big time too.

I would actually, there have been a lot of adverts for it (I have seen one 2-3 times a day for the past week, and I don't even watcb much TV)

Nintendo's Smash Hit

30/Jun/2008

Nintendo and EA knock ‘Lego Indiana Jones’ down to No3 as ‘Super Smash Bros: Brawl’ on Wii celebrates an All Formats No1 debut ahead of competition from EA’s new recruit ‘Battlefield: Bad Company’ on Xbox 360/PS3 at No2.

It is Nintendo’s 4th All Formats No1 so far this year with ‘Super Smash Bros. Brawl’ becoming the 3rd largest UK Wii launch behind ‘Wii Fit’ and ‘Mario Kart Wii’. It’s also a bumper week for Nintendo’s console thanks to renewed stock of ‘Wii Fit’ pushing it up from No27 to No4 (sales up 643%) as well as Wii-exclusive ‘Big Beach Sports’ from THQ entering at No5 ahead of ‘Mario Kart Wii’, bouncing back into the Top 10, up from No11 to No7. There are now 4 Wii-exclusive games in the All Formats Top 10 with PS3 ‘Metal Gear Sold 4’ the only other format-exclusive All Formats Top 10 title, down from No2 to No6. ‘GTA IV’ almost drops out of the All Formats Top 10, down from No4 to No10, but Take 2 can claim two Top 10 games this week thanks to ‘Top Spin 3’ for Wii, PS3 & 360 rising up the rankings from No12 to No8 in its second week of launch.

One Sega Olympics game replaces another in the All Formats Top 10 as ‘Beijing 2008’ debuts at No9 for 360 & PS3 and ‘Mario and Sonic at the Olympics’ drops out of the Top 10, down from No6 to No11. There are 2 other newcomers that make this week’s All Formats Top 20 – ‘Guitar Hero: Aerosmith’ at No14 from Activision and ‘The Bourne Conspiracy’ for 360 & PS3 from Vivendi at No15.

That doesn't really tell us how much SSBB sold this week, we'll have to wait for the monthly top ten in Famitsu a month from now to know the actual figure.

The the UK info?  I think VGChartz might post some info on the overall sales of the game in an upcoming Others chart.
