Confetti this time?!?!? Or should we wait a few days to see if the numbers are going to be revised again...?

I doubt they will be revised again. Even if they do, it should have passed 10M.

I wasted all of my confetti a few weeks ago, on the previous 10M milestone.

Before that, when MS announced that they sold *cough* shipped *cough* 10M consoles, I enjoyed Peter Moores dance. I almost threw the confetti that time.

 LOL, that's the reason I wrote what I wrote...  I mean... obviously... duh eh?  LOL.  how many times can the 360 hit 10 million?  The negative press is starting to gain momentum about the 360, sales may be rough for awhile until Microsoft truly adresses these issue's.  All the tech sites and game blogs have been increasing their red ring of death stories...  not good...  

I should have picked up on the sarcasm. It is late. I'm out.

Has anyone else noticed a shift in momentum?

I feel like 360 is starting to lose it's grip.. so much bad publicity, failure rates all over the internet... and then Starcraft (the vg member) choosing PS3 over the 360...

Is it just me? am I just being paranoid??

If you think things have changed just look at the sales numbers to see the PS3 falling even further behind.

I think some people have a false sense about the 360's direction. Most people are pretty close-minded about the 360 if they've chosen that they don't like it. "It's a shooter console," "it dies in 5 minutes," etc.

The PS3 has basically everything the 360 has and more, minus a lot of games. 360 has those games to back it up, thus ensuring more good games, but I can see a shift to the PS3 because of it's future-proofing.

Who knows...we'll see. Can I say it's still a race for second place? Or is that too close to trolling....

I think I was swayed a bit into thinking that the 360 would outsell the PS3...  I'm starting to think that the PS3 will indeed come in second place.  Nothing against the 360 personally.  I don't own one and I have considered getting one several times, I even picked one up and took it to the cashier once only to put it back on the shelf due to a feeling of early regret.  My brother brought up a good point to me tonight (he's not much of a gamer).  He saw a red ring story and said "Why'd they build the red ring into the system? if it wasn't due to them knowing that their product was poorly made... what purpose does it serve?"  To that... I had no answer...  and yes I realize it also tells you if you've plugged your cables in right... but was that ever really an issue for anyone?
