I always felt the metroid prime series to have more aspects of an adventure game than an FPS. First of all you get power-ups opposed to expendable weapons,you back track, it's far less linear, you explore, there isn't as much shooting. and there are puzzles. Now It may be in the first person and your weapons might be projectiles, but that doesn't make it an FPS. So what is your opinion. Even nintendo considers it an adventure game when referring to it as a FPA.  Should it be considered a first person adventure or a First Person Shooter.

If Metroid Prime is an FPS than Twilight Princess is a hack & slash action game.
