There must of been like 20 different versions of Street fighter 2. I played one Street fighter game before but I did not like it.

BTW: with Virtua Fighter 5, Dead or Alive 4. Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur 4 on the way. street Fighter 4 does not stand much of a chance against those other 4 fighter series. Street Fighter games in 3D looks odd.

VF series>Tekken series>Dead or Alives series>Soul Calibur series>>>Street Fighter series.

You do know that Street Fighter has always had tough competition from the likes of Mortal Kombat, Battle Arena Toshinden, Samurai Shodown, King of fighters, other SNK fighters & the series you mention.. I think you underestitmate the fanbase of Street Fighter.. I agree that the 3d games were bad but it looks like SFIV wil be as good as the 2d games.. It's seems as fast and brutal as the 2D games

No I don't recall a 6-button package for the game, I do remember the release of it comming out about that time. SF2:CE was compatable with both, Originally yu had to press start to change to kick/punch toggle which made SNES version more favorable, but with the 6-button fans like me preffered Genesis.

Even though neutered Sean in it, Street Fighter III Third Strike. After that Street Fighter Alpha 2.

For me it was Street Fighter 2 Turbo, only because I don't remember playing any other except one of those 3D Wack Juice ones on the PS1 (EX is it?). Those were bad but Turbo was where its at. Now I play Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

Well for the last 2 days I'm playing Third Strike a lot it's growing on me.. but better then Alpha 3?? No way!
