Apparently, additional PS3 hardware sales due to MGS4's arrival were enough to push GTAIV on the Sony console above the Xbox 360 version.

It's a weekly total, not a cumulative total. Your title is misleading.
Currently playing on PS3: God of War III
Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII
Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger
Based on user base numbers, I think the 360 version of GTA4 should be back on top of weekly sales within the next couple of weeks.
LOL at the PS2 top 10. 6 titles are Singstar clones.

Well, Sony claimed that with bundles GTA IV outsold the 360 version first week, so it's not really a big deal. They've been selling pretty close to each other.
But seven weeks after release sales are now a tiny percentage of first week sales, so it's not going to affect LTD much. Couldn't it have been discussed in the PAL Charts thread? It seems like a pretty insignificant development to me.
Someone has discuss this fact in the pal charts thread. Your link starcraft is really not serious, because they post the exact pictures of gfk without hosted them. So, every week where they have reported the charts from Australia, it's always the same pictures which appears. I hope we will see the next week the next round of this battle between the two GTA 4, but it's not sure because the two games can be out of the top 10.
Nice BKK2 your avatar. You are a girl?
It all means little in the scheme of things when the entire Aussie gaming market is a fraction of 1% of the world gaming market.
Both the 360 and ps3 are still getting killed by the wii, impressive when Australia use to be totally dominated by Sony.

True. The numbers are ridiculous. Last generation it was something like 2.5 million PS2's, 500k Xbox's and 200k Gamecube's. Oh how the tables have turned.
