I was just thinking with Soul Calibur 4, Tekken 6, Street Fighter 4, Street Fighter 2 HD, and of course Smash Bros. already out there, this is pretty much the biggest year for fighting games I can recall.

The only thing they could add is DOA and Virtua Fighter, and DOA may be a dead franchise with the state of emergency going on at Tecmo.

Also Tekken 6 doesn't look likely to hit the US this year, but still this is a great year for fighting games, news-wise, and playing-wise.

EDIT: The new King of Fighters game looks amazing also, I don't know when that is hitting the market but thats another one that should be amazing

This year is the year of the "4" with SF4, SC4, DMC4, GTA4 and MGS4.

Guitar Hero 4, House of the Dead 4, Super Mario Kart Wii(4th console game), and Persona 4, also!!!!

Kind of how last year was the year of the 3 for movies, Spider man 3, shrek 3, Pirates 3, Bourne 3, Ocean's 13(3rd film) and Rush Hour 3.

Yeah great year for it, It's mostly Brawl for me though.

Too bad I hate fighting games, with the exception of SSB.
