PS2 Version
- Lighter Rice Paper Texturing
- Contains the beautiful ending cinematics and credits (Wii Version has this removed)

Wii Version
- Darker Rice Paper Texturing
- Can skip Cut Scenes
- More freely use the brush.

I know it was originally scheduled for a June 12th release but heard something about it being pushed back to the 27th, i think. You are right though, Nintendo of Australia still has the 12th of June date on their website but i have learned over the years never to trust those guys.

I'm in China at the moment so i was hoping one of the Oz guys had walked into a store in the last few days and could confirm whether it was already released or at least if the date has been fixed.

 

now that I think of it when I was in EB and JB-HIFI recently I can't remember seeing it.

got this game 1st day and the wii controls aren't for the faint hearted but gotta tell you once you get them down it's a fantastic game. This joins the list with Z&W and NMH in non nitendo AAA must play titles for me.

The game is $40 in the states, and haveing not playing the original, i guess i will have to pick this one up. The wii version has sold more then the ps2 version right? Ill go check it out.

Guess not, the ps2 sold .15mil while the wii sold .11mil. But it hasnt be released in 'other' yet, so theres hope. And whats with the japanese release, is there even one?

Cool! Well it is on my must buy list and I'll probably get it. I don't know for what platform yet. I would rather get it for Wii though.

Anyways it looks like such a beautiful and fun game with lots of creativity poured in it. Masterpiece. Also, graphics like those are worth way more praise, imo, than realism. I have many Okami wallpapers on my PC because the game is just so beautiful.

Okami is way too long. It's a beautiful game, but I can't spend 40+ hours on it.
