I think it will be bigger than FF VII..
More things to interact with, plenty of story line, much bigger than oblivion etc..
MGS4 has been in development for as long as FF XIII has, so this means that it should be much bigger than MGS4(and MGS4 was big), who knows they might be the next ones to use a DL 50gb disc.

hmmm, you are kidding right. Story and concept arts are already done, And we all know that FF games can`t sell on Sony console. |
I don't think he's right at all, but the suggestion that "story and concept arts" mean the game is far into production is silly.
95% of the game will be creating those art assets in a fully realized virtual world. AAA PS3/360 development costs haven't tripled since last generation because of the "story and concept art" budget.
The reason I don't think Versus will be scrapped is that they already have graphical assets in place (the trailers we've seen).

They said they are promising those CGI graphics seen in the trailers, and wont deliver anything less in terms of visuals.

Oh man, Darth, I think you're in for dissappointment. I don't understand why people can't be happy with a game that sells well and is popular.
The game will be good. It will be well made. If you liked Final Fantasy 1-12, you will probably like 13. Let's just leave it at that for now, I think.

I doubt it can beat MGS4 as game for me though....

But to suggest that somehow FFXIII Versus can be scraped due to FFXIII sales number is absolutely ridiculous. They were at over 7% complete last E3 and now with story and arts done, it's already considerable investment putting into the development.
Soriku (Feb 10/08): In 5 years the PS3/360 will be dead.

@darth
I dont think any game will ever come close to MGS4, its epic(ness) is beyond any game I have ever played.

I agree, King. I'm just pointing out that the investment has to be "graphical assets" and not just "story and concept art." We know it's not just story and concept art, because we've seen trailers.

@leo-j
exactly....S-E need to pull of another "FF6" in order to make it even remotely possible now..
