According to IGN, Of the 20 or so games that have a score of 9.0+ on Wii:

4 are original Wii games . The rest are on virtual console or are GC/PS2 Ports.

The only M rated game on that list is Resident evil 4 originally released for Gamecube January 2005.

Wii's hardware is very much comparable to Gamecube. You never wondered why It cost $150-$200 less then PS360? You get what you pay for.

Did we see Bully, Godfather, Scareface, FarCry, Driver, Manhunt, etc...on GC?   No we didn't but we have on Wii and more.  You're agrument fell before took a step.

We've had a GTA game on the Gameboy, for crying out loud.

Nintendo never asked for GTAIV to be on Wii?   Reggie stated if Rockstar was willing to put a GTA title on Wii, they'd approve it.  After all, Wii received manhunt 2 and Bully, didn't it?

The other two titles you mentioned are still in some state of development.  Disaster will be relased this year.  It's delay was to improve the quality of the game.  Nintendo does this often with their titles.

Leetgeek, stop trolling. Your entire intent is to stir the pot. You obviously don't know the Wii console architecture very well which means you're spouting ignorant misinformation just to anger people because you know how they'll react.

You even made a post suggesting Nintendo wouldn't allow GTA on Wii. More false information just to piss people off.

You have 6 posts here all just to anger people with the exception of one post which you flat out out stated you were a PS3 fanboy.

The 360 has a bit to go but still falls WELL SHORT of San Andreas/Vice City numbers. So obviously those users don't own PS3 or 360's yet and with the PS3 and 360 hardly setting sales alight I feel that Take Two need to think about alternatives.

There is nothing to lose in trying.

 

Have any of those games had senators try to get rid of them? Have any of those games been banned from more than 1 country? Violent games and games with outright terrible morals for children are completly different.

Cheap connotes poor quality. What Nintendo did was use inexpensive, off-the-shelf technology.

You make some valid points, but you clothe them in very harsh terms.

If you drop the word cheap out of the above sentence and change simpler to different, that is a very cogent point with which no one can disagree. It is the reason there SHOULD NOT BE a GTA IV port to the Wii. If there is going to be a GTA game, it need to be built anew as others have said.

Instead, you chose to take some cheap shots at a system which most weeks outsells the two HD systems combined -- including the weeks after GTA IV was released.

Building a GTA game from the ground up for the Wii, to utilitize the controls to their max, yes. That would work.

That will never happen though. It would be awesome, yes, but is 99.9% totally out of the question as far as R* are concerned.

 

 

It still goes against the family image of the Wii.

I mean yeah games like RE4 have action and violence.

But they don't have you visit a stripper bar or get a lap dance...( or sit as 2 gals start mimicking sex in front of you as they give you a lapdance.)

It would be a PR nightmare for Nintendo
