LittleBigPlanet arrives on the PS3 this October. The PS3 install base should be around 16M. I predict software sales of: 

NA - 250K 

EUROPE - 200K 

JAPAN - 70K 

TOTAL - 520K 

A good first week but nothing special. Legs will be terrific though, due to amazing word of mouth. 

Hardware boost: 

NA - 20K 

EUROPE - 30K 

JAPAN - 5K 

Again nothing special. This should have a longer effect, rather than a big spike that lasts for a few weeks.

I think your right all around but the game will rely on word of mouth hopefully it will work out well since this game might push me over to get a PS3...

Try close to neal. I have 2 PS3s and I can tell you right now there is not one exclusive must have for the rest of the year. Resistance is a maybe in 09 for cheap at this point for me.

how is the fact you have 2 PS3s have anything to do with PS3 not having any "must have" exclusive???

 

Frankly, LBP and R2 are must have exclusives... some people might even put Socom into that list?

I don't see it being a huge launch. Fanboys of other consoles will say it bombed when it launches, like they did with Uncharted.

Legs will be great, though. It will be a word of mouth title, if it is as good as they are saying.
