Sorry, we were busy checking out the abysmal MGS4 hardware boost in Others.

These numbers are pretty good for the PS3.

Certainly not at the level some PS3 fans were predicting, but nonetheless I feel that met most reasonable expectations.

Now of course, we can prepare for the true test. With Sony unable to afford a price drop until the very end of the year at the earliest, and no more PS2 upgrader titles for probably a year at least, how long will the MGS4 boost last?

It needs to last at least two months to be meaningful in my opinion. We'll see.

The true winner this week is Konami of course. Excellent MGS4 sales.

Calling you out was obnoxious, Starcraft, I totally agree with that. That's why I gave a warning. But as soon as I gave that warning, everyone needed to stop, and you didn't.

And just to remind everyone else, don't go thinking Starcraft was the worst offender in this thread.

Lots of people stepped over the line here. It just so happens that Starcraft was the first person to step over the line after I'd warned everyone. Just because you didn't get banned doesn't mean you shouldn't feel naughty.

yes, it's the bundle with BC, it was gone for a while as Sony themselves are surprised about how popular 80GB version is.

With DS3 and MGS4 packed in, I hope Sony will do something with its current 40GB version... either pack in a game or add some BC to it.

no idea, longer it waits, less likely you will see PS2 BC to come back... unless Sony decides to drop PS2 production all together.... and we all know how unlikely that will happen. lol

I am not going to disagree with you, European market isn't been treated very nicely through this deal. But keep in mind that Japanese also only had to 40GB bundle as well.
