honesty, i think it'll open with abuot 50k first week
and struggle to meet 500k

Trust me on this, Rock Band will not do well on the Wii (I hope I won't regret these words). Guitar Hero is the rhythm franchise of choice for Wii owners, not Rock Band. By now, the hype isn't even that large. Multiplatform games get a lot more hype than exclusive games, usually, because there are two or more different types of console fans hyping it and far less negative hype. By now, Rock Band Wii might as well be exclusive to the Wii. It's still selling strongly on the PS3 and 360, but the holiday season and the hype leading up to the game has now been diminished.`

I don't think it will be a million seller since gh4 is coming with downlable content and online and better drum why would somebody buy rockband?

I mean what yall say is theoretically a strong possibility. But I'm just not seeing that given other things. I really don't think GH is going to affect Rock Band sales. I really think that advertising and hype from the 360 and PS3 version has carried over to the Wii version. I mean it goes back to the whole thing of brand, and being a huge party game it just seems like a mix for huge sales. I mean of course there's a strong possibility I could be wrong. But I think given the brand, large advertising of the Wii version, and it being a huge party and music game could yield larger sales than we expect.

Rock Band Wii sold 130k Week 1 in NA. Is it releasing this week in Others also or not?

Also just for comparison RB sold 180k week 1 in NA for 360. Not bad. I don't think it'll enjoy the success the 360 version had with different GH Wii games coming out right now and RB2 possibly coming out later this year but it's not as bad as some thought it would do.

They really blew a huge opportunity by not getting the Wii version out sooner. That lack of foresight probably cost them millions of dollars.

I guess I was somewhat close to my prediction..

As strange as it sounds at first i'm thinking Harmonix/EA would rather this game not do well on the Wii or at least not amazingly well where people pick this up over other versions.

It would suck if it did well and built up enough of a fanbase for RB2 to sell close to the 360 considering Nintendo's lack of a storage solution means no DLC which has been a huge gold mine for Harmonix/EA.

If only Nintendo gets something straightened out by E3....  I'm guessing any DLC sold sends a decent cut to MS/Sony on LIVE/PSN so Nintendo is missing out on that also.
