No console game this gen will have better graphics than crysis.

i think the ones released near the end of the gen will look better then crysis, maybe RE5 has a chance

RE5 is actually pretty mediocre from what I've seen in the most recent trailer.

No, that is one area where PC's will always have an advantage over consoles, graphics. Physics is another, but that isn't necessarily true this gen with a console like the PS3 that has a lot of raw horsepower.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

You can't really make a fair comparison between the two. MGS4 is definitely a lot better and runs a lot smoother when compared to Crysis running on lowest settings with only a slightly old machine. It's very hard to build a fully functional desktop for less than $500 that will run Crysis well enough to be equal to MGS4. But if you got one of those thousand-dollar machines, then yea, it's a lot more detailed on high res with everything turned up high.

^thats why i asked it cause i could only play it around medium(and high but it was going sorta slow)and on medium MGS4 looked better then it

In some parts YES it does, there are no pre rendered scenes in mgs4, the character models defenitly look better in mgs4, and so do the vehicles, and so does the EGG cutscene, which is rendered in game. Environments definatly not, but MGS4 is the best looking game on the PS3.

Nothing is pre rendered in crysis either.

"the character models look better in mgs4. "

Here are some character models in crysis.

Here are character models in MGS4

Which are more detailed? Obviously crysis.

^yeah it does look more detailed, but i think MGS4 has a better background
