It will be interesting to see where MGS4 fits in on the list. It shouldn't have any problems beating MGS2 first week sales, but there's a lot of games in the mid 200k range. Highest position it can realistically take is Halo 2's (Edit: GTA: VC) 260k fifth place, but I think it will fall a bit short.

My prediction: 220k

Edit: Just noticed GTA: VC is actually ahead of Halo 2, but probably not by much. Anyway, corrected that error.

Well MGS has never been as big as Halo or Gran turismo in the UK

so I will go for 200K

Yep, no MGS game has ever gone Double Platinum (600k) in the UK, whereas GT2, GT3, GT4, Halo II, and Halo 3 have all gone Double Plat.

MGS2 went Platinum (300k), and MGS3: Snake Eater only went Gold (200k). MGS4 should beat MGS3, but there's such a big range for MGS2 (300k-600k) that unless MGS4 sells 600k (which I think is unlikely), then we probably won't ever know if it beats MGS2.

 Well MGS4 surprised me in Japan so it may well do 300k first week in UK.

@mrstickball: It wasn't officially released in Netherlands for week 24. Some shops must have broken the date. That's actually happening quite often. Next week will show how good (or bad) it really sells.
