Yes, especially if it takes you months to beat a boss (yes it has happened to me before)

I'm playing Metal Gear Solid 1 on the PS3 right now. And I'm literally getting thrashed by Metal Gear Rex like crazy. I throw Chaff Grenades at the thing to mess up his radar and actually try and shoot the Stinger missile at the left of its arm and it always finds a way to lock on to me and shoot missiles dead on me.
WTF!!!!
I kept dying and I think I died a maximum of 8 deaths and I put the controller down and will probably come back to it later tonight or tomorrow after work...
I mean WTF!!! Frustrating!!!!!!!!!
IIRC, Metal Gear Rex is all timing. I died a fair amount until I got it down and then had little difficulty beating the monstrosity.

ummm..The last time I checked I thought it was possible to search on Xbox Live Marketplace for a gamer picture. I came across this game pic pack and it was free. So I downloaded and decided to use this gamer pic as my default pic on Xbox Live and then found this pic online and decided to make it my default pic on Vgchartz.... Now wasn't that humorous? |
Then you're missing out on a damned fine game.

thats what also annoys me
its soooo fustrasting losing boss battles! i hate it because i'll be there all day trying to do it.and i hate looking at online guides for hints and tips because i think of it as cheating. but at times its ok because theres normally some kind of save point before the battle, not some mini bosses take the piss
right now i'm playing lost odyessey on the 4th disc and i'm on a series of boss battles which is taking the piss because i was totally unprepared for this series of battles... better get back to work soon

Yea, I understand. I mean I had him and I was getting real comfortable with the scheme or strategy I was using and then once you make a little mistake like missing to chug a Chaff Grenade then its over.
So I will probably come back to it tonight. One of my co-workers told me that after that I fight Liquid Snake...lol
Can't wait....I know I'm late playing this game something terribly, I mean its 2008 and then game was all-1998....lol
I am enjoying this game, espically the graphics and cutscenes

lol....I will get it!!! More than likely off Xbox Live Marketplace...either that or search in GameStop/EBGames baragin bin. Psychonauts should be at least $5.
My gamer pic looks bad ass..thats what a lot of gamers on Xbox Live say when they check my gamer profile. I'm like "bro, this pic is from a old game"..lol

What I learned about RPG's from my sister is to train and level up your squad before going against a boss.
I made that mistake in Final Fantasy X. I was so fustrated trying to take out this boss called Seymour. He was hard as hell but I eventually thrashed him after leveling up my squad and selecting the right people that were suited for that battle.
