Forums - Gaming - Great games you played and no one else did

I'm going to have to go with Shadow of Destiny as well....awesome concept. I saw that game at a KB Toys store for $4 and figured 'what the hell?' I would have gladly paid $40 for it when it was released if I'd known it'd be so cool.
Golgo 13 on the NES was fun for me. Folklore and the Darkness on PS3. On the PS2, Second Sight, The Bards Tale, Drakan: The Ancient's Gate was pretty great, The Rule of Rose, Magna Carta: Tears of Blood, and(my favorite) Indigo Prophecy.
King's Quest on the PC got all the sales, but I also liked the Police Quest and Space Quest games by Sierra back in the late 80's/early 90's.

Has anyone ever played and enjoyed Dreamfall for the Xbox? Thinking about getting that because it looks like it has an interesting story and a similar interface as Indigo Prophecy.

Shadow of Destiny. I forgot that the game even existed. Very unique, and should be played by anyone who's bored of traditional adventure games.

Conquests of Camelot, a Sierra adventure from 1989 on the Amiga (probably on PC too).

Gabriel Knight II - The Beast Within, another Sierra game. PC.

Lords of the Realm II on the PC.

It got poor reviews but I liked it, ninety nine nights (XBOX 360)

i was gonn say Conflict Desert Storm on PS2 but that sold 1.5 mil...very surprising to me.....loved that game

"If new things are so great, where have they been the whole time?"

Vlad Tepes Dracula.

A great little Empire building RTS from an age ago based around the historical Dracula "The Impaler". Its free to download and I recommended you try it although it honestly has aged pretty poorly - the AI in particular is annoying compared to modern games.

I'm gonna have to say Speed Freaks for the PS1...I Really don't know how popular the game was in places like America, it was popular here in Australia I think. I don't think I have a game that nobody else has really played. But I don't think many people would have played Speed Freaks. (I think it was called Speed Punks in the US)

SPACE STATION SILICON VALLEY

seriously, even with its outrageous bugginess still my favorite puzzle game to hit the N64. game was absolute genius, im still praying it gets released on VC!

Eternal Eyes (PS1)
Arc The Lad: Twilight Of The Spirits (PS2)
Radiata Stories (PS2)
Summoner (PS2)
Summoner: Goddess Reborn (GC)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (GC)
Sonic Shuffle (DC)
Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak (GBA)

That's all I can think of right now.

Outcast on the PC, Marathon on the Mac.

OutCast - Amazing and exciting TPA game with a great sense of humor. Wonderful music. Very long draw distances. Drew you into the game.

Severance - Lots of combo moves, flowed nicely, loved the apples, lots of limbs to cut off. Edit : @ Esmoreit : glad someone else found this gem.

Reunion - Very interesting game play. Space Exploration + Base building and (if required) RTS combat on each of the planets you find, there were spies from other races, bounty hunters, Good and bad aliens and even a Story line.

Legend of Mir2 and 3 - One of the few MMORPGs that used real time aiming and not auto lock on for wizard attacks, in this game running away was part of the skill. The Isometric view allowed the screen to be full of creatures, even simple spells like repluse (pushes the monstor away from you) gave a wizard the feel of great power, The other 2 classes - Warrior and Tao were well balanced and the "3 Heros" worked well together when fighting bosses.
Simple and effective graphics combined with addictive and engrossing game play.
