Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Report: US Wii Fit shortages intentional

ummm no.

Why do people keep trying to insist Nintendo is deliberately creating a shortage? What possible benefit would they have? Increased revenues from ebay?

Granted, based on how well Wii Fit did in Japan Nintendo should have used the months to extremely ramp up production of the boards to put 2m in each territory by end of first 2 weeks.

So, if NPD aren't going to track Wii Fit as software, are they going to track it as hardware?

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

i dont think thats ture, then why would there be shortages in U.K for two weeks straight

tag:"reviews only matter for the real hardcore gamer"

Yes cause all Nintendo shortages now will forever be intentional.

Yes of course they could release more stock of the Wii and probably Wii Fit, but strategically as a business, there is a shortage for shippable Wiis and Wii Fits.

Rath - the problem is that Gamespot screwed up when titling the article. Yes, it's clear from reading it that the shortages are no more intentional than are shortages of any product. I think that most people here have realized this.
