I think that's the best solution. Probably if my Xenos RRODs, I'll sell the refurb 360 (Clearly be honest about it) on Ebay and get a falcon version. Just swap the hard drive.
Unfortunately, the Xenos ones are defective by design, from what it appears. Mine has the Xenos and extra heatsink, so I hope that helps.
