past couple weeks they had tons of copies but sunday i went to gamestop, best buy and target and they were all sold out. Might have to do with everyone picking up Mario Kart when some wiis came in.

No Mario karts for me either, they've been sold out so sudden, When I bought it they had a lot in stock and now they don't... of course I can't find wii fit either

its sold out everywhere my cousin is trying to get one and amazon says its sold out. I guess that means its selling well at least.

You are a very lucky man, why dont you tell every Wii owner looking for one where do you live?

You always seem to find stacks of Wii products, but the rest doesnt, I wonder why... 

i guess it depends on where you live, the bigger the town the harder to find it i suppose, i live down south and it's relatively easy to find it in just about every Walmart, Target, Bestbuy, etc... but to find it in a rental shop, no way

This game has been in and out of stock around here -- the guy at Best Buy said they had 'hundreds' recently.  So I don't know where they hell they're all going, but I certainly didn't expect them to keep selling out.

There's no reason to be sorry. There's no reason this game should be sold out. Considering the shipment size the guy at Best Buy had claimed they got and that other stores had been in and out of stock, rather than continually out of stock, I think that the game is just selling really well around here.

I need to grab one for this guy, though, and another one of my buddies wants one. Plus a brother in law of mine needs one. So I'm sure there are plenty of people still planning on buying this.

But I live in a very small town -- about 250,000 people.  There are three Shopko stores on the east side, so I might check some of them.  If I have to drive to the west side to get this game, that'd be ridiculous.

This is amazing though. I never thought this game would be sold out anywhere. I knew it was a huge game, but I didn't think that Nintendo would underestimate demand on any game without an expensive to produce peripheral.

I think maybe they simply looked at historic trends for sales, and didn't expect this game to come and sell a ton more than Mario Kart:DD did. Perhaps they just figured the increased install base of the Wii isn't necessarily going to buy the more core games like Mario Kart.

The big problem may be that this game is the most fun Mario Kart so far. And the online racing is awesome. Just yesterday we were playing games online and it prompted an option to join a friend's game. We did, and it was seemless and easier than it is to join friend's games on Xbox Live.  We didn't even realize we could play with friends and 8 strangers at the same time.
