Forums - Gaming - Lair and Haze V's Bullet witch and Vampire Rain

People who have played those games above. So if you had to pick either pair. which set of two would you buy?

Which game is the best of the four games in title? Why?

I know they all have had bad reviews online.

Average reviews: PS3: Lair = 55.7%. Haze = 57.1% 360: Vampire Rain = 39.5%  Bullet Witch = 57.9%

They are the 4 worst exclusive games I can think of on the HD consoles. Can anyone think of any games that suck more than those four games?

LOL I choose C: None of the above.
Well, I've only played Lair and Vampire Rain, which is already too much from that list in my opinion, but if had to choose between the 2, I choose Vampire Rain. Which is really saying something, because the suckage really rained down hard in that game. NinjaBread Man FTW!

Developing teams who make shit games should get the boot.

And to think IGN really hyped up Vampire Rain, too. Of course Lair was definitely hyped more. I still can't believe my boys at Free Radical really screwed up a game as bad as the critics say. That was my main reason for buying a PS3 as soon as I did. Otherwise, I would have waited for another price drop. Of course I didn't realize it was going to take this long to come out. They must be focusing their effort on TS4, or at least that's what I tell myself.

Everybody deserves a 2nd chance, but that kind of crap is completely unacceptable and then kicking the hype machine into high gear. WTH where they thinking? Are they trying to ruin their reps? Whatever happened to QA?

Lair and haze are very playable and fun... those games are pretty good in my book... not like the other 2.... and yes i can think of 1 game that sucks more and its bomerman

Vampire Rain is actually going to be released on the PS3 this year.

I wonder if some of the huge and glaring problems the game has will be addressed for the port...

Vampire Rain is coming to PS3...but thats besides the point.

I think the problem with Lair and Haze is that they were made by studios which have credibility and good games were expected.

Why don't we put the Wii in to the comparison mix? :)

I could be wrong, but I suspect that what made these games so bad was the developers underestimated how much was really required to make a PS3 or XBox 360 game, and these games were forced to be released a year before they would be ready. I have no knowledge of Vampire Rain or Bullet Witch, but Lair and Haze were both developed by very good development teams and (although they have issues) they should have been able to produce the solid, bug free, gameplay experience they promised ...

I think it would be difficult to pick two Wii games that were expected to be good that didn't live up to their expectations ... Red Steel is (probably) the obvious choice and (in my opinion) was not that bad; Red Steel has many issues but one of the things that dragged its score down by so much was there was very little that stood out in comparison to other FPS games that have been produced over the past decade.
