^^Whenever I look at your avatar, I think you have bunny ears

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

i hope it turns out as good as the n64 castlevania

The solution to this problem seems obvious to me: have the majority of actions in the game done through button pressing, then do super-awesome-special-attack-delux abilities through strong sudden Wii Mote acceleration.

That might just work.  Look at NMH, you only needed to waggle the wii remote when you were doing a finishing move or when both you and an enemy were crrashing strikes

That's what I was thinking....Hold the Wiimote NES-style, playing somewhat like the classic Castlevanias. When you're ready for a special/strong attack, release your grip on the Wiimote with your left hand, and "whip" Wiimote to or across the screen. I would imagine simple motion sensing would be best for registering the special/strong attack, but maybe the senor bar/IR could be used to detect the move.

Of course, this is just my wet dream of a new 2D console Castlevania. I still would prefer a 2D console Castlevania, but I'm open to a well made 3D one as well. And I still say that because a game is on the Wii does not mean it HAS to be heavily focused on motion sensing, nor does it HAVE to have motion sensing at all.

@thekitchensink: the entire philosophy of the system, that's what.

"I feel like I could take on the whole Empire myself."

Here's an interview with him on IGN. He all but confirmed it towards the bottom when talking about Wii connectivity. Also he says that 2D is a better look for the DS and 2D on the Wii or any other console is hard to pull off.

So I'm expecting a 3D Castlevania on the Wii...but time will tell.

Currently playing: Okami (Wii), The World Ends With You (DS), and Shenmue (Dreamcast)

I would love this and a new Mystical Ninja game. Impacto! Dash! Dash! Dash!

What I personally think would be a cool idea is if the game had a Zelda like world map.

Pacman taught people to run around in dark rooms munching on pills while listening to repettive techno music and for that I somewhat idolise him.
