I am not asking what you think should be the best game based on some metric, I am asking:

Of all the games you have ever played, looking back, what game do you still remember? A game that left a lasting impression?

I have been playing video games for over 30 years now, and have played thousands. The one that I still remember (oddly) is a turn based strategy game called RoadWar 2000 from 1987.

doom got me into playing games, it is the reason i like fps and never looked back.

Total War, bitches. And now, I'm off to create the Roman Empire.

Final Fight got me interested in games.

It should be an easy question for most everyone, as most have some game dear to there heart.

I have 5-6. Wizardry, Syndicate, W-Wing, the one in my OP, and a few others.

I hope I will someday play a game that will bring me back to those days. The problem is I am old now, and there will most likely never be a game that can have that kind of impact on me again. I have lost a bit of imagination, and I think that's what it takes to really get immersed into a game like I used to.
