There's still one character that they have yet to announce I'm not going to mention his name because I already said it in this thread. But if they put him in thee game I'll be one extremely happy Smash fan

I wouldn't worrie about anything lower then 35 from this game. Really I can't think of anything up in this game that is lower then 35 (- the characters that's on-screen at the same time).

Wait a minute I'm reading the article about Iwata and SSBB development and is says that Super Smash Bros has some right to the series belonging to HAL Laboratory. If Nintendo loses HAL wouldn't that mean that they lose a part for SSBB?

huh? Nintendo has always owned HAL and will always own HAL. Nintendo will also own all characters that HAL makes IIRC. So don't worry.

Yeah like Rare right? Here's a snipet from the article:

"All the employees from Nintendo of America that were involved with E3 at the time strongly wanted to announce a new Super Smash Bros. that would be compatible with Wi-Fi play. But at the time, we still hadn’t discuss this thoroughly with HAL Laboratory yet, which shared the rights to Smash Bros. with Nintendo, and we hadn’t even begun planning out the production process."

 I hope they stay with nintendo or we'll have another Goldeneye on are hands in the future.

Edit: Goldeneye as in a uncertainty as to which platform it'll be on.

Yeah, but honestly, do you really think HAL labratories is gonna somehow veto Nintendo from making a Smash Brothers game?

HAL: No, company who makes us rich, we no longer want to roll in the hundreds of millions of dollars from this game that you create and we just own a share of the profits in. We disallow you to make a next one, because the only possible result for us would be to make a fortune if you do make it, or make nothing if you don't.
