I hadn't noticed the button before. Saw the ladder climbing, which is pretty cool.
Looking at it closely, it's really unfair to say the DK stage is the same as the Ice Climber stage in Melee. Buttons of unknown purpose, climable ladders, airplanes, bean stalks, it doesn't appear to suddenly "end" at the right and left edges of the screen, it varies in width, it has an actual "top" (and possibly bottom), it has more open space to fight in, and the environment is much more interesting. It's like the Ice Climber stage had they actually developed it beyond "IT SHALL SCROLL VERTICALLY!"
