I'm guessing you press A to climb them or something...I wonder if that makes you vulnerable though...who knows.

What an awesome level, I hope they have a few levels like this.

It looks like a brick like structure ontop the cement, nothing like a cage.

I didn't think it looked like a cage. I was just speculating as to what might be on top of that brick structure. Sorry for the confusion.

It's been 2 months since this site started, and they've already announced 7 stages...a bunch of characters, and a fair amount of other stuff...

That's just from May to July...we still have July to August, September, October, and November, up til December 3rd... This is crazy.

Are we worried that there won't be any surprises when we play the game?

Is there a Jack and the Beanstalk motif in Bongo Blast? The vines look like a beanstalk. The plane takes you to the top where you fight on the giants castle? Who knows. I enjoy the cryptic style the developer uses to describe the pictures.
