"The report asked 58,486 teens between the ages of 11 and 18 in a global survey across 31 markets."

"PS3 beat Wii in every age group except the 11 to 12 year olds and Wii was more popular among girls up to 16."

Most earlier surveys showed the Wii is greatly preferred by pre-teens of both gender and the PS3 dominates preference amongst adult males.

i guess they do this kind of survey every year. last year they came to the exact same conclusion--the 11-12 age group prefer the wii, and everybody else (males) prefer the ps3.



the Wii is an epidemic.

But is this unexpected as some of the best selling games are kids games.

Too bad they didn't ask about adults, because there are more and more adults playing videogames, it's not kid's stuff anymore. But I'm pretty sure the Wii wins easily amongst the 18+, because it's the only one aiming at them.

Prefer or buying it, is a different story. Who will buy console for them on Christmas? Parents. I still don't know how can PS3 can win the console war at this for that price. Either Wii or Xbox 360(arcade), since Xbox 360 is cheaper than Wii in some area. Parents won't pay so high for a "stupid" gaming console for their 12-18 kids to let buy it. So...em...PS3 still have a long way to go........
