Despite good numbers all round i still think the ps3 needs a price cut in others.

Any Wii supply issues involved. Reports said that other markets were being shorted to ship more to the US in the last few weeks but I'm not sure if Great Britain was involved..

I totally agree.....360 price drop I think stopped Ps3 from achieveing greater things...

Ps3 NEEDS a Price Drop in EU or things could get bad..

yeah I kinda realized that you from UK after I posted my reply n I didn't edit it cus to edit I need to open up IE (which is very slow on my comp) as firefox doesn't allow me to create threads or edit posts..

The people that will jump in after a price cut will most likly jump in if it gets a price cut now or later, so they pretty much have those sales in the bag already. The people who are buying it now though obviously don't care about the price its at. If they cut the price they would be hurting revenue with such strong sales. I expect them to ride out the wave that GTA created with MGS. after sales start dipping a little a well place price cut will give them a little dash.

That said, the fad is gaming and Wii lures it in with a cute box and harvests its Adam without even thinking about hitting the rescue button.

If the ps3 ever droped to 199 pounds for x-mas everyone will get one but i am not expecting it to go anything below 250. especially being as we pay more for everything then anyother country on the planet.

Anyway ass long as sony are selling the ps3 above 80k a week. i dont think a price cut will even enter there minds

Hey hey hey, not so fast. Don't forget that we're still seeing at a surge-spike in X360 sales due to the recent EU price drop, but sales will be going down steadily. Also, I believe the X360 is overtracked by 10-15% in "Others" because I simply can't believe in the big sales of X360s that are supposed to be 20-25,000 consoles per week in the Others/other category, which consists of pretty small video gaming markets like South Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan (besides, these are typical PC-loving countries).

So in reality, especially if you just wait a few more weeks, the PS3 will reign supreme over the X360 in Others again.
