Don't do this, it's a trap you'll never beat his score :p |
You haven't seen me play many shmups, have you. ;)
My girlfriend got Loco Roco, and I played the Echochrome demo. It was neat, but the novelty wore off quickly, and... I dunno. I usually like puzzle games, but not this one for some reason. I tried Uncharted and Heavenly Sword, but I didn't like either of them. I didn't like God of War either, so yeah, I guess I'm a "terrible" Playstation owner. Sorry, but these third-person games with their gimmicky situational control schemes just don't do it for me.
I think I will check out Resistance; I hope it doesn't suffer as badly from launch-itis as Red Steel (ugh). I might check out GTA4, but I didn't like any of the GTA3 games (enjoyed GTA2 though).
I don't have a 360. My PS3 is not backwards-compatible, but that doesn't matter, since I still have my PS2 hooked up. My retro gaming at the moment primarily consists of Castlevania: SotN.
I don't plan to do a heckuvalot on the Cell, but I would like to finish the project that I started in my senior year of college, which was cut short because of the April 16 shootings. After that, I may see if I can do a raytracer or a rasterization engine, or maybe something more interesting in terms of honing my game programming skills. Maybe some kind of collision detection or particle demo. I want to see what I can use the SPEs for. I work 9-6, so I don't have that much free time... but we'll see.
There are plenty of games I like, btw. Just look at the Games I Own section in my profile.
