The only Manchunians I know all support Man city, which is the general rule, if you are from Manchester you support city. However I know far more Man U fans, not one of them from Manchester, all of them are from London, Birmingham, Leeds, etc...

I know a fair amount of United fans from manchester; i met most of them on the stretford end when I went to games (back when season tickets were £300, now theyre £700 and I cant fucking afford that. fucking glazers).

I'm from preston btw, which is about 30 miles from manchester. Bandwagon syndrome would have me supporting chelsea :P

It is my experience that there is no general rule in Manchester that youy support City, seems a pretty even split. I also know a lot of United fans from Manchester and, as United are a global club its not surprising they have alot of fans from outside Manchester.

I think it's because they are portrayed in alot of movies, such as Europtrip etc.
