I'll stick with the lite, I'm not really careful with my DS

and the top screen could crack and break apart easily if you pull it out too hard

Where would the "guts" for the buttons and D-pad go?

I think having it in a simple bi-fold design is much more elegant, and of course, more sturdy.

This is not a horrible design, it's just not as good as the current DS Lite.

They could have made the top screen damn near paper thin, but that would sacrifice strength.

edit:  And the back buttons suck too, they should be on the shoulders.

I want a new handheld, not another remodeling.

The ds hasn't even been out for 4 years yet. Why would you want a new handheld? ANd just because there is a remodel doesn't mean there won't be a new handheld seeing as the gameboy micro came out after the ds IIRC.

That's pretty sweet, but it would break to easy.

Design is nice but music pisses me off...Bad piano!!!

 I thought the music was nice... It's rather soothing.

DSLite is fine as is. I want my next handheld please!
