Wii Fit.

Mario Kart is awesome but i'm sure you have played previous ones.

Wii Fit is potentially the most important game of this generation.

I know you're obsessed with Wii Fit because it's going to sell well, but WoW summed it up with his post. Starcraft, I think you should go with Mario Kart Wii. It's much cheaper, and from the looks of it and what I've heard, very interactive and fun. You'd probably be able to relate to it more anyways (considering how hardcore you seem to be, I don't know how much you'd enjoy Wii Fit).

Whoa.. full stop here. Wii Fit, is at best, a sorry excuse for lazy people to not go out, buy a pair of good jogging shoes, and actually _start to do_ something for their health. As a gameing tool, it is (presently) a worthless piece of crap. As a fitness tool.. no sorry, same answer. Go and talk to people that _actually are professionals in that sector_ (as I have done). As for Americans, the only things I see are lawsuits coming (looking at some of the more advanced "training routines").

Once again, if you are thinking of improving your health and look for the cheap way-out, go buy that piece of plastic. If you are serious, do something serious. As for games, the board may one day become a tool for novel game control (reminds me somewhat of the Amiga Guru Meditation board - or whatever its name was then). As for now, not worth buying.

Maybe it's just a simple way for gamers to stay fit or even get fit through their favorite hobby?

Look at Rubang. Look at his Gameboy pouch picture. He's a rippling, sexy stud. But he's still buying Wii Fit, mainly because the game looks like a lot of fun, and you can never be too fit. Besides, the uses for games may be novelty, but the idea is still worth trying it.

Fun > Important.

Trying something new > Repeating something I've done before

Granted, I have Mario Kart and love it, but I'm more interested in WiiFit. Not for that particular 'game' mind you, but for the board itself and the new type of experience to be had. Like when the Wii itself came out - Wii Sports was cool and all, but really, it was just a means to an end, a way to get you to see the 'potential' the Wii could offer. That's what WiiFit is going to provide - a way for you to see the potential the board may offer... ...and THAT'S why I think WiiFit is a better choice.

I was thinking the exact same thing... the board is a whole new accessorie which opens up the ability to play new games in a new way.  Mario Kart is just a game that doesn't up anything new gameplay wise for a Wii owner.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

I had to make the same choice and I've picked Mario Kart. If only I could find it somewhere ...

Mario kart wii,wii fit later.

Mario Kart. i dont like wiifit.

I beleive someone protests a bit much... with no basis for their complaints.

What fitness experts I've heard that actually looked at the game, actually said it does a pretty good job. The only complaint that I recall them giving was it didn't encourage warm ups before some of the excercises...  For those "experts" you talked to, that actually evaluated the game, what did they find wrong with it?

It's also a lifestyle training game, designed to give suggestions for things to do to improve your health, and keep track of your data to encorage you, and to be played as a family, etc...

I find it funny how some people say go to a gym and it's a waste of money, and they never tried it, and seem to forget the a gym membership costs a lot more.
