I'd like to point out an issue that people haven't considered:

MS says "we've sold 1m more in europe" = "Since the 360 first came out, we've sold 1m more 360s than sony has sold PS3s"

Sony says "We've sold 1m more in europe" = "Within the past few months, Sony has sold 1 million more PS3s than MS has sold 360s"

This is actually very easy to do since there was a Solid year head start for teh 360, but now PS3 is selling better. PS3 has the better current selling rate, but 360 still has the larger total.

My Prediction: Wii will be achieve 48% market share by the end of 2008, and will achieve 50% by the end of june of 09. Prediction Failed.

The 360 is doing better than the PS3 in Others, like Korea and India and worse in Europe. Its not really that difficult, how many times has this been discussed the last few weeks...

The only problem here...

-Sony Europe has sold 12 million PSPs, 48 million PS2s, and 5 million PS3s.

PSP - 9,65 mln.; PS2 - 40 mln.; PS3 - 4,5 mln. -> by May.
Well, if for PS3 maybe ok.. but for PS2 and PSP there is a quite a difference.. =)
By the way this is LTD by May or by March 31th? =))

Because if by March, then 900k shipped PS3 i believe is a little too much.. =]

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.


Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

Hey, I am not from the Netherlands.

Then I guess it isn't a good thing to specifically single out a group of people then is it. =P
