As for MGS and Gears, I think overall sales will be a wash but the PS3 will pick up more hardware sales.
This holiday season is going to come down to Resistance vs. Gears 2, Banjo vs. Little Big Planet, and Halo Wars vs... Er, something else. What else does the PS3 have coming this holiday season? If Microsoft can also get Alan Wake out the door, things could look pretty good for the 360. |
Wait, what?!? The Banjo games are two of the most beloved software titles on the N64, and fans have been pining for a new one for over an entire console generation! Killzone had a flawed predecessor that is generally seen as fairly mediocre. So, I have no idea what you're talking about there, Rocket.
But overall, I agree--there are many different reasons why games get hype, and quality of their prequels is just one.
Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
