Now to seek definition 2: What is hardcore or core.. something isn't adding up.

Of course LBP will reach 1 million copies in it's 1st year.
But 1 million is nothing, and that kind of sales will not be considered a success for LBP.
I think it will have trouble reaching 1.5 mill (first year). A mediocre success.
Since when was 1 million nothing >.>, unless that game costs them over 9 million >.>.
I kinda rough it out as devs get 9 dollar a disc so yea.
ie.
GTA = 6 million sold at $60
GTA report = 40 million earned
GTA quote = 9 dollars a disc
Thats not taking into account the special edition.

The game looks awesome and appeals to many demographics. Not to mention it is a unique game for consoles.

OT: This will be the first game to get me to actually use my PSN account for more than 10 minutes!
Games like LBP don't come too often..they can either be the HUGE BLOCKBUSTER or the HUGE FLOP
but if they do become the huge blockbuster they leave an impact..
I think LBP will be a huge success...personally, I like playing games where I drive things, or kill things...but everytime I see a LBP video I just end up with this stupid ear to ear smile...I don't even like platformers (last one I owned was the original Sonic the Hedgehog for Genesys (sp?) , but I'll be buying this for sure.

cut the crap, this game is lucky if it sell 2 million LTD. I don't see anything exciting on those trailer, just a bunch of midgets running around WoW! what a cool game play.
The only other game the developers have published was Rag Doll Kung Fu, an indie downloadable game. It was criticized for having a nifty physics engine, but with little interesting gameplay built around it.
Take from that what you will.

Im sure someone thought the same 20 years ago and said (not posted, cause these was no internet) that "I dont see anything exciting, just 2 plumbers running around getting mushrooms". 
You may be right, I may be wrong, but there is something *potentially* unique AND familiar with this one...until it launches, no one really knows.
